PaRK International School is seeking a passionate, energetic Cover Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our dynamic team at the Alfragide campus. This is a temporary, fixed-term position covering the periods of September, December, and January.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality, engaging, and inclusive PE lessons to students, ensuring the continuity of our innovative sports curriculum and fostering a lifelong love for physical activity.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Formal teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE) highly desirable.
• English language proficiency required; Portuguese knowledge a plus.
• Valid work permit for Portugal/EU and clean criminal background check.

Responsabilidades

ROLE SUMMARY:

This is a temporary, fixed-term position covering the periods of September, December, and January. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, engaging, and inclusive PE lessons to students, ensuring the continuity of our innovative sports curriculum and fostering a lifelong love for physical activity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality, active, and inclusive Physical Education lessons across different age groups, aligned with the school's curriculum and values.
• Student Engagement: Cultivate a safe, supportive, and motivating environment where students of all abilities feel encouraged to participate and excel.
• Classroom & Field Management: Ensure proper supervision, behavior management, and strict adherence to health and safety protocols during all sports and physical activities.
• Assessment & Feedback: Monitor student progress during the coverage period, providing constructive feedback and maintaining brief records if required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the PE department and campus staff to ensure the smooth running of daily schedules and sports facilities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field. A formal teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or national equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching Physical Education, ideally within an international school environment or a diverse student setting.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken), as it is the primary language of instruction. Fluency or working knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire, manage, and engage large groups of children/young adults.
• Documentation: Valid work permit for Portugal/EU and a clean criminal record background check (mandatory for working with minors).
