What You Will Do
- Draft and negotiate a diverse portfolio of payments ecosystem contracts, including merchant agreements, acquiring contracts, payment gateway agreements, referral contracts, and payment facilitator agreements.
- Identify potential legal risks and liabilities within commercial arrangements, proactively recommending and implementing robust mitigation strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence on prospective payment service providers and strategic partners.
- Monitor evolving payment industry regulations (including PCI DSS, GDPR, and AML/KYC frameworks) to provide timely, actionable legal guidance to the business.
- Execute detailed legal risk assessments for new payment products, services, and platform integrations.
