A global technology leader is looking for a Telecom Engineer in Paço de Arcos, Portugal. The role involves formalising engineering plans, managing technical requirements, and ensuring system configurations. Candidates should have a Telecom Engineering degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of French is preferred. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with opportunities for travel.

Specific activity / Tasks to be performed

• Formalise the specifications and the engineering plans used to develop the solution /product.
• Assemble the solution/product elements in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behaviour, interactions and performance, and to confirm that the requirements against which the solution/product has been designed are fulfilled.
• Demonstrate that the solution/product satisfies the overall approved operational needs and that the product data package is ready for release to production, testing, installation and to operation and support.
• Plan and coordinate the subsystem development within the constraints provided by the agreed architecture and design in order to satisfy customer requirements and ensure global design consistency and company rules, processes and business objective.
• Act as the project-wide interface for technical matters in his/her domain. Ensure subsystem interfaces are defined, consistent, and complete.
• Manage Technical Requirements within his/her domain.
• Provide technical expertise to Design Reviews with internal teams and with the Customer.
• Perform IVVQ activities, including system configuration, system verification and validation, and FAT tests.
• Support onsite installation.
• Perform T&C activities, including system's start-up, system configuration on site, and completion of all acceptance and integration tests on site.
• Support the configuration control and management in conjunction with the configuration manager.

About you

• Education & Qualifications: Telecom Engineer grade.
• Previous experience (2 - 3 years) in Engineering of Public Information Systems.
• Knowledge of acoustics applied to Public Address Systems.
• Ability to use specific design tools (namely AutoCAD, and Visio).
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (preferential).
• Availability to travel and stay abroad for long periods.
