Brightpath Engineering is seeking a part-time carpenter for assignments in Almada, Portugal. You will create and repair wooden structures, work up to 30 hours per week, and may require commuting. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates, and housing is not included.

Role involves reading blueprints, measuring and cutting wood, and installing hardware with a focus on safety and quality finishes. Collaboration with other trades is expected on larger projects.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for cutting and finishing.
• Knowledge of different wood types and characteristics.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail for precise measurements and finishes.
• Physically fit to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
• Valid work permit for Portugal or willingness to obtain one.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine materials needed.
• Measure and cut wood using hand and power tools.
• Build, install and repair wooden structures such as furniture, cabinets, doors and windows.
• Install hardware such as hinges, handles and locks.
• Sand surfaces and apply finishes such as varnish or paint.
• Inspect and repair damaged structures or fixtures.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on larger projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use protective equipment.
• Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed.
