Forvia, a leader in sustainable mobility technologies, seeks a Senior Material Planning leader to drive procurement planning and execution, ensuring SLAs are met and continuous improvement is pursued. The role requires leading a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with Purchasing, Plants, and Transportation to optimize supply plans and supplier performance.

The ideal candidate brings industrial or SCM training, strong leadership, and cross-functional communication skills, with SAP knowledge

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in industrial or supply-chain management.
• Proven leadership experience in material planning or procurement.
• Strong communication across multi-functional teams; English proficiency preferred.

• Manage daily Material Planning operations within SLAs.

• Monitor supplier delivery performance and drive corrective actions.
• Support process standardization and implementation of tools.
• Maintain supplier documentation, agreements, and logistics data.
• Monitor team budget, costs, and productivity targets.
• Support recruitment, skills development, performance reviews, and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, Ethics, and Audit requirements.

Mission, Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for leading the Material Planning team, ensuring procurement planning and execution activities are delivered according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while driving operational efficiency, cost control, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Material Planning team.


• Allocate workload, define KPIs, monitor performance, and manage training and career development.


• Ensure compliance with Group standards, FES X.0 requirements, and procurement processes.


• Manage daily Material Planning operations within the agreed scope and SLAs.


• Develop and monitor procurement plans based on plant requirements, MRP outputs, and supplier capacity.


• Coordinate with Purchasing, Plants, and Transportation teams to optimize supply plans, inventory levels, and supplier performance.


• Monitor supplier delivery performance (MPM), manage alerts, and drive corrective actions.


• Support process standardization, implementation of tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Ensure supplier documentation, agreements, and logistics data are maintained and updated.


• Monitor team budget, operational costs, and productivity targets.


• Support recruitment, skills development, performance reviews, and team engagement.


• Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, Ethics, and Audit requirements.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Technical, Bachelor’s or Master's degree in industrial or supply-chain management


• Multi-functional & Multi-cultural communication


• SAP knowledge appreciated


• Ideally bi-lingual (incl. English)


• Customer orientation / Leadership / Team spirit / Autonomy / Openness to new ideas


• Ability to work under time pressure
