Job summary

Nordea Asset Management in Lisbon is seeking an Analyst to join Derivatives Operations, OTC Clearing & Trade Management. You will be structured, self-driven and analytical, growing through challenging tasks and building a network across NAM.

The role is based in Oeiras, with 2 months on-site and then a hybrid regime (3 days in the office, 2 days at home). You will handle daily derivatives tasks and interact with counterparties, contributing to new control routines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in finance, engineering or mathematics.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Interest in data analytics and process improvement.
• 2–3 years of experience in derivatives operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

About this opportunity

You’ll join a team of 6 colleagues in Lisbon and be a central part of the Asset Management value chain under Operations & Technology. Nordea Asset Management is responsible for all actively managed investment products in Nordea and handles the development, implementation, daily production and the support and management of our product offering, including the operation and management of the fund companies.

• The role is based in Oeiras (Quinta da Fonte).
• It's expected you to work 100% on-site in the first 2 months and after on an Hybrid regime (3 days from Office + 2 days from home).

What you’ll be doing:

• Taking care of our daily operational Derivatives management tasks covering issues such as trade confirmation, reconciliation, investigations and payments;
• On a daily basis interact with counterparties, clearing brokers and other internal- and external business units;
• You will take part in developing new and better control routines.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• You have finished a bachelor/master level education within finance, engineering or mathematics.
• Structured as the work covers both daily routines, ad-hoc issues and longer projects.
• Knowledge about derivatives is preferential, but not a requirement, as we will train you.
• Knowledge of or an interest in at least one of the following coding languages: VBA, Python and SQL developer is preferential, but not a requirement.

Your experience:

• You have at least 2/3 years' experience within financial industry Derivatives operations task and the coordination across the value chain of these specific products management.
• You have acquired good market related knowledge preferably Listed Derivatives & OR CFD products (FIATECH, OSTTRA - Systems and CME, CBOT, EUREX, Etc - Exchange Platforms products knowledge).
• Knowledge/Experience of Derivatives trade processing (matching, mismatch handling, reconciliation, etc.).
• Proficient in English skills as we are European asset manager.

It would be ideal (but not a prerequisite):

• Knowledge of FIATECH, OSTTRA (Harmony), ALERT.
• Previous use of Jira.
