Job summary

ALTEN Portugal is seeking an Assembly Engineer for on-site leadership in life sciences projects in Seixal. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary installation activities, ensuring alignment with design intent and project milestones.

You will translate technical drawings into field execution, supervise diverse teams, and uphold cGMP/EHS standards and regulatory requirements throughout the installation lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil or related).
• At least 5 years coordinating multi-disciplinary installation in regulated environments.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs, isometrics, layouts and equipment specs.
• Strong on-site leadership, communication, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation, assembly and commissioning support for pharma projects.
• Translate P&IDs and drawings into field execution plans.
• Coordinate and supervise installation teams across trades.
• Manage work sequencing, tools, and materials for site assembly.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP/EHS standards and project specs.
• Resolve on-site issues with engineering for timely progress.
