Job summary

Siemens Energy in Porto, Portugal seeks an On-Site Technician to service large gas turbines, steam turbines and generators. You will travel to sites worldwide, align machines with hundredths of a millimeter precision, install them, and adapt them to CNC programs.

You will collaborate with managers and engineering colleagues to communicate progress, changes and improvements for smooth processing. Fluency in English and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed training as a cutting machine operator or equivalent with CNC experience.
• Experience with turning and milling large components.
• Knowledge of Siemens 840D sl and SINUMERIK Operate desirable.
• Proficient in English and open to international assignments.
• Willingness to travel and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service calls to eliminate faults.
• High-quality machining by turning, milling, grinding and drilling per standards and drawings.
• Repair or modify power generation components using mobile and CNC machines.
• Control and document dimensional, positional, shape and surface tolerances.
