Job summary

Subsea7 in Lisbon seeks a motivated Mechanical CAD Designer to join our engineering team onshore. You will create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore subsea projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a technical qualification in Design Drafting.
• Experience in CAD drafting or project engineering support.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into clear drawings and models.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, fabrication and assembly principles.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore and subsea projects.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers to translate concepts into practical design deliverables.
• Support engineering studies, technical reviews, constructability assessments and design optimization.
• Review and check drawings and models produced by other designers.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Contribute to CAD tools, workflows and standard deliverables.
• Mentor junior designers where appropriate.
