Decskill, an IT consulting company with over 10 years of experience, is growing and seeking a NodeJs Software Developer to join our team in Portugal. You will build backend services using Node.js, design RESTful APIs, and collaborate with clients to translate their requirements into scalable solutions.

You'll work with cross-functional teams, follow best practices for performance and maintainability, and engage with stakeholders in a consultative way.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2–3 years of backend Node.js experience.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Client-facing experience with stakeholder engagement.
• English proficiency, written and spoken.

We are looking for a NodeJs Software Developer!

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Node.js.
• Collaborate with clients to analyze business and technical requirements and propose effective solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and maintainability by following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adapt quickly to different projects, industries, and business environments.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders through a consultative and client-focused approach.
• Contribute to technical discussions and support the successful delivery of client engagements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Client-facing experience with a consultative approach and the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across different projects and business domains.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
