Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Product Failure Analysis Lab Technician (M/F/D) for night shift to organize and run the Failure Analysis lab and facilities. You will supervise staff, oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting in line with company procedures.

You will maintain supplies, support assay development and testing, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Secondary education in a related technical area.
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and product data sheets.
• Hands-on problem solving with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and monitor daily lab activities and facilities.
• Prepare lab materials, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Supervise lab staff performing failures analysis.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret lab results per procedures.
• Maintain records and prepare reports and data files.
• Keep inventory of lab supplies and materials.
• Develop/testing systems for assays and materials.
• Evaluate new testing methods and instrumentation.
• Adapt lab methods to designated area requirements.
• Assist staff and resolve instrument/test-method issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Handle requisitions and assist budget planning.
• Ensure safe lab conditions and compliance with safety rules.
• Liaise with external parties on lab matters.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental improvements.
