A leading cryptocurrency news outlet is seeking an Editorial Team Member to join their award-winning team in Almada, Portugal. You will be responsible for covering news, writing features, and delivering insightful analysis in the fast-evolving digital asset space. The ideal candidate has journalism experience in finance or tech, a deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, and excellent storytelling skills. This role requires onsite presence 2-3 days a week at its London, Lisbon, or Frankfurt offices.

Qualificações

  • Proven reporting/journalism experience, ideally in finance, tech, or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital assets.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills; able to simplify complex topics for a wide audience.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Research and analytical expertise.
  • Track record of breaking news and cultivating sources.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and social media.
  • Experience with AI tools for research, data analysis, and transcription, plus ethical knowledge of AI use in journalism.

Responsabilidades

  • Pitch and generate original stories covering crypto economy topics.
  • Monitor markets, on-chain data, and social media for breaking news.
  • Interview founders, investors, and regulators to build trusted source networks.
  • Write clean, compelling, well-researched news articles and analysis.
  • Collaborate with editors and reporters on coverage.
  • Stay informed on macroeconomic trends affecting crypto markets.
  • Support multimedia content like podcasts and videos.
