Job summary

Shakers is seeking a Firewall and Network Security Engineer to join the network security team within a leading European technology group. The role focuses on maintaining firewall platforms, coding firewall security rules, and handling production IT requests, incidents, changes, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in network security, hands-on firewall platform experience (NSX-T/VCF9, Palo Alto, Fortinet), and strong coding of firewall rules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network security or firewall engineering.
• Hands-on experience with firewall platforms (NSX-T/VCF9, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Experience coding firewall security rules.
• Experience operating in a production IT environment: requests, incidents, changes.

Keep the security infrastructure operational, with a focus on firewall platforms. Code and maintain firewall security rules. Handle requests, incidents, changes and documentation in a production IT environment.

• 5 years of experience or more. More senior profiles are welcome.
• Hands‑on experience with traditional firewall rule sets on platforms such as NSX‑T / VCF9 network, Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Experience coding firewall security rules.
• Experience operating in a production IT environment, covering request, incident and change management.
• Portuguese and English, or French and English.

Условия:

Full time, long term. Hybrid, 2 to 3 days per week on site, Lisbon or Porto.
