Job Description:

Important Note: Professional interpretation experience and/or interpreter certification and training are required for this position. A combination of experience and training can be considered for the role.

This is an OPI/VRI interpreter position.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional interpreting experience
• Interpreter certification or interpretation training courses
• Authorized to work in the US
• High school completion or equivalent
• Proficient in English and target language, as determined by our Language Checkup assessment
• Remote position - must reside in the US

Position Summary:

This position performs skilled consecutive, first-person interpretation under direct supervision, following well-defined policies and procedures. Limited independent judgment is exercised, and non-routine problems are referred to a supervisor. Applies to all languages spoken by the interpreter.

• Provides meaning-for-meaning interpreting.
• Follows CyraCom’s interpreter protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to interpreter ethics.
• Attends all required training sessions.
• Continuously enhances vocabulary and subject matter knowledge.
• Uses standard office equipment.
• Demonstrates punctuality, follows instructions, and communicates effectively in English and the target language.
