Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Évora, Portugal, seeks an experienced professional to lead mobile network benchmarking and performance assessments. You will analyze drive tests, crowdsourcing data, and network KPIs to identify gaps and drive optimization across 2G–5G networks.

You will collaborate with Planning, Performance, Operations and Optimization teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to benchmarking methodologies and best practices. English proficiency is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in mobile network optimization and benchmarking activities.
• Proven experience in benchmarking projects and customer experience assessments.
• Strong knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE, VoLTE and 5G NR technologies.
• Experience with OSS tools and performance management platforms.
• Hands-on experience with benchmarking and crowdsourcing analytics platforms such as UMLAUT, Ookla, Tutela, Opensignal.

Responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end network benchmarking campaigns and performance assessments.
• Analyze drive test, crowdsourcing, customer experience and KPI data to identify performance gaps.
• Assess network competitiveness and develop optimization strategies.
• Perform optimization across 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE, VoLTE, and 5G networks.
• Collaborate with Planning, Performance, Operations and Optimization teams to drive improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership when required.
• Act as SME for senior leadership, leading benchmarking initiatives and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
