1GLOBAL is seeking a Mobile Networks Observability Engineer to design, build, and operate telemetry data pipelines across on‑premises, public, and private cloud environments. You will work with Prometheus, Grafana, and modern telemetry stacks to deliver deep visibility into network behavior and service quality.

You will join a specialized engineering team responsible for large-scale observability platforms, traffic analytics, and automated monitoring in a fast‑growing telecom setting.

Qualificações

• Experience with Linux systems administration and production platform operations.
• Familiarity with OSS environments and distributed production systems.
• Hands-on with modern observability platforms and telemetry stacks.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Thanos.
• Experience with telemetry pipelines: Vector, Telegraf, Fluentd, Kafka.
• Knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, IPFIX for telemetry ingestion.
• Experience with ETL/data models for observability analytics.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain large-scale telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs, traces, and flow data.
• Develop data transformation pipelines for real-time and historical analytics.
• Build analytics datasets and dashboards for network performance and service health.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems with AI/ML for anomaly detection.
• Design traffic visibility architectures using taps, packet brokers, and mirroring.
• Operate and scale observability stacks including collectors, databases, and dashboards.
• Automate deployment of observability infrastructure with IaC and container orchestration.
• Collaborate with network, platform, and ops teams to meet analytical needs.

About the Team

Join a highly specialized engineering team responsible for building andoperatinglarge-scale network observability platforms for Telecom, on-premisesandprivate/publiccloud infrastructure environments.

Our mission is to provide deep visibility into network performance, service quality, and operational health across distributed systems. We ingest and analyze massive telemetry streams, network traffic metadata, and service events to power real-time analytics, automated alerting, and operational dashboards used by engineering and operations teams worldwide.

You will work at the intersection of mobile network engineering, data engineering, and platform observability, designing scalable telemetry pipelines and analytics platforms that transform raw network data into actionable insights.

About the Role

As aMobile Networks Observability Engineer, you will design, build, andoperatethe systems that collect, process, and analyzeboth network flow and telemetrydatafromTelecomnetworksrunning onon-premises, public and privatecloud infrastructure.

You will work with modern observability platforms, telemetry pipelines, and high-performance analytics databases to provide deep visibility into network behavior and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Telemetry Platform Engineering: Design andmaintainlarge-scale telemetry pipelines capable of ingesting metrics, logs, traces, and network flow data from distributed systems and telecom infrastructure.
• Data Processing & Transformation: Develop data transformation pipelines using ETL frameworks to normalize, enrich, and model telemetry data for real-time and historical analytics.
• Network Observability Analytics: Build advanced analytics datasets and dashboards that provide insights into network performance, failures, traffic patterns, and service health.
• Monitoring & Alerting Systems: Implement monitoring systems and automated alerting mechanisms (use of AI/ML and prediction algorithms) to detect service degradations, network anomalies, and infrastructurefailures.
• Traffic Visibility Architecture: Design and support network traffic acquisition models using technologies such as packet brokers, TAPs, traffic mirroring, and virtual taps.
• Observability Platform Operations:Operateand scale modern observability stacks including telemetry collectors, analytics databases, and visualization platforms.
• Automation & Infrastructure Engineering: Automate observability infrastructure deployment and operations using Infrastructure-as-Code and container orchestration platforms.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with network engineering, platform engineering, and operations teams to ensure observability solutions meet operational and analytical needs

About You

• Systems & Platform Engineering:Strong experience with Linux systems administration and production platform operations isrequired, along with familiarity with Operations Support Systems (OSS) environments and experienceoperatingdistributed production systems.
• Telecom Service Assurance Platforms/Network Traffic Analytics:Experience working with telecom service assurance and analytics platforms such asNumoData(formerly EXFO Nova),Radcom, or other telecommonitoringplatforms.Knowledge of traffic analytics platforms, packet capture tools, and network traffic analysis techniques.
• Observability & Telemetry:Hands-on experience with modern observability platforms and telemetry stacks, including Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana. Experience designing and operating telemetry collection and monitoring systems for infrastructure and network environments.
• Telemetry Pipelines:Experience with telemetry collection and streaming platforms such as Vector, Telegraf,Fluentd, Kafkaas well asgeneraltelemetry protocols includinglegacySNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and IPFIX.
• Data Engineering & ETL:Experience designing data models for observability and analytics platforms and building data transformation pipelines. Hands-onexperience with ETL platforms such as ApacheNiFior equivalent technologies for data ingestion, enrichment, and transformation.
• Monitoring & Fault Management:Experience implementing monitoring and fault management systems including SNMP trap processing,Alertmanager, and network monitoring platforms such asOpenNMSor equivalent solutions.
• Databases:Experience working with analytics and operational databases, including OLAP databases such asClickHouseor Vertica, OLTP databases such as PostgreSQLorMySQL, and in-memory databases such as Redis.
• Networking & Telecom Knowledge:Understanding oftelecom network architectures and network telemetry analysis. Familiarity with network traffic acquisition and aggregation models, including traffic mirroring, TAPs, virtual TAPs, and packet brokers.
• Programming & Automation:Strong scripting and development capabilities using Python and Golang, with the ability to build automation tools and data processing components.Experience with Ansible fororchestration, configurationmanagementand application deploymentunder PNF and VNF environments and Helm for CNF environments.

• ModernTelemetry Protocols:Familiaritywith modern telemetry protocols such asOpenTelemetry,gNMI,gRPCstreaming,OpenConfig,eBPFor custom instrumentation
