- Implementing push notifications and background processing using technologies such as Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
- Applying security-by-design principles, including secure local storage, data encryption, runtime secrets management, and protection against common mobile security vulnerabilities
- Ensuring compliance with data protection requirements and responsible handling of sensitive healthcare information
- Contributing to mobile architecture decisions, technical planning, and the delivery of defined work packages with a high degree of autonomy
- Managing application release processes for the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including signing, submission, review, and deployment
- Collaborating with backend engineers, security specialists, product stakeholders, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Applying AI-assisted software development practices responsibly, maintaining code quality, security, and human oversight
- Identifying technical risks, proposing improvements, and contributing to the continuous evolution of the mobile solutions
What should you bring to the team

- Proven experience developing and releasing native iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and/or SwiftUI
- Hands-on experience with Android accessibility APIs and TalkBack, as well as iOS accessibility APIs and VoiceOver
- Experience implementing offline-first capabilities, local data persistence, and synchronization with backend services
- Experience with push notifications, including APNs and FCM, and background processing on mobile platforms
- Strong understanding of secure mobile development, security-by-design principles, and relevant OWASP Top 10/CWE vulnerabilities
- Experience managing application secrets securely, including solutions where secrets are provided at runtime
- Knowledge of secure on-device storage mechanisms, such as Android Keystore and Apple Keychain, and local data encryption
- Experience with information security, data protection, and the responsible handling of sensitive information, ideally in healthcare or other regulated environments
- Familiarity with data protection authority guidance concerning personal data and medical records
- Experience delivering mobile applications through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including signing and release procedures
- The ability to take ownership of technical deliverables, make informed decisions, and work autonomously while communicating effectively with stakeholders
- Experience contributing to digital transformation initiatives or strategically important software projects
- Knowledge of responsible and structured AI-assisted software development practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon
- Fluent Portuguese and English, both written and spoken
