Job summary

Accenture Technology in Lisbon is seeking a Mid-Level Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop and deploy ML/AI solutions that drive business value. You will work with Foundation Models, LLMs, and cloud AI services in a hybrid Lisbon setting.

The role emphasizes independent work, experimentation, and production-ready pipelines for training and inference, with collaboration across Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of ML model development, deployment, and optimization.
• Experience with SQL and database concepts.
• Knowledge of Foundation Models and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience with Python and Machine Learning libraries.
• Understanding of MLOps, model deployment, and production monitoring.
• Fluent in English (C1 or above).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions that generate measurable business outcomes
• Build, train, evaluate, and optimize predictive models and AI-driven applications
• Leverage cloud-based AI services to accelerate solution development and deployment
• Develop scalable data pipelines to support model training, inference, and production environments
• Apply DevOps and MLOps principles to automate model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Customize and implement Foundation Models, LLMs, and Generative AI solutions according to business requirements
• Evaluate the performance, quality, and business value of AI solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Conduct research into emerging AI technologies, algorithms, and methodologies
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities to improve model accuracy and effectiveness
• Implement efficient data storage, retrieval, and knowledge management mechanisms
