Ytech in Lisboa, Portugal, is seeking a MID Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms. You will support ingestion, modelling, storage, and orchestration across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data engineering, strong cloud-native experience, and hands-on use of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics, with knowledge of other clouds like AWS or GCP.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering with cloud-native solutions.
• Strong experience designing end-to-end data architectures (ingestion, modelling, storage, orchestration).
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience with other clouds (AWS, GCP) is valued.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Apache Spark.
• Experience with relational (Oracle, MS SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to implement data validation, lineage, documentation, and monitoring.

Experience level: Mid — 2+ years

We are looking for a MID Data Engineer with strong experience in cloud-native data engineering, data architecture, and the development of scalable data pipelines within Microsoft environments.

You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of modern data platforms, supporting ingestion, modelling, storage, orchestration, and analytics initiatives across the organization.

What we value in you:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native solutions and data architecture.
• Strong experience designing end-to-end data architectures, including data ingestion, modelling, storage, and orchestration.
• Practical knowledge of modern data architecture patterns, such as the Medallion Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft data technologies, particularly Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform is also valued.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse and data lake technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Apache Spark.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, as well as NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with DevOps/DataOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to implement scalable solutions for data validation, lineage, documentation, and monitoring.
• Experience optimizing data pipelines and storage solutions for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and make clear, well-supported engineering decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex or ambiguous challenges into actionable solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with and support junior and mid-level engineers, contributing to engineering standards and a strong technical culture.
• English level B2 or higher.
