ABB IS Portugal is seeking an IT Specialist focused on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to design, implement, and maintain MES solutions based on Critical Manufacturing. The role offers a hybrid work model (onsite or remote as needed) and the chance to impact production environments across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in developing and implementing MES solutions.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and MES value.
• Experience with Critical Manufacturing development framework.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL, PowerShell and related MES tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement MES solutions using Critical Manufacturing's MES platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional manufacturing teams to gather requirements.
• Create and update documentation on MES best practices and standards.
• Monitor MES performance, report issues, and suggest improvements.
• Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and write tests.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and architectural validation for MES projects.
