WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work, a champion of diversity and a model of social responsibility. We are currently #1 ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have maintained a top four position since its founding in 2009. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy and require bringing together diverse backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join the Product, Practice and Knowledge (PPK) department as part of the Knowledge Management team and you’ll work with a variety of Practices at Bain, broadening your skillset and leveraging industry knowledge across various industries and capabilities. Practices are how we group and organize our solutions and products based on our clients’ industry or business function, and they are a key strategic priority within our firm. The M&A and Divestitures Practice is a global capability that supports client portfolio transformations across the M&A cycle (M&A Strategy, Corporate Due Diligence, Merger Integration and Divestitures) with regular collaboration across industries and capabilities.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

The Knowledge Management (KM) team plays a vital role in leveraging the expertise of our consulting staff to achieve outstanding results for our clients. The Senior Specialist engages with client case teams at the start and end of cases, addresses questions using Bain’s internal knowledge, captures new insights, manages existing knowledge, and identifies gaps to be addressed by future client case teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Equip the global consulting staff with relevant expertise and resource recommendations by mining the existing knowledge base and creating customized client-ready materials.
  • Collaborate with practice team members to build expertise and lead the capture and sharing of the knowledge base as well as new product development within a specific industry or solution.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the practice strategy by analyzing practice performance, supporting practice meetings, and preparing experience sharing calls and publications.
  • Use AI tools to accomplish portions of the role. Experiment with new and existing AI tools to improve work processes.
  • Actively contribute to the practice and broader PPK team by participating in global team trainings as well as providing coaching and development feedback to junior practice team members.

ABOUT YOU

  • You hold a BA or equivalent undergraduate degree and have a track record of strong academic performance.
  • You have 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in a fast-paced or client-facing environment.
  • You’re intellectually curious, especially about M&A, and eager to keep learning.
  • You bring strong analytical abilities and enjoy solving complex problems with creative, outside-the-box thinking.
  • You can manage multiple priorities with confidence and thrive under pressure.
  • You’re organized, attentive to detail, and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • You’re a proactive user of AI tools and have a growth mindset when it comes to exploring new technologies.
  • You have experience working with marketing technology solutions.
  • You can work independently while also valuing collaboration and feedback.
  • You approach your work with a customer-service mindset, always seeking to support those around you.
  • You maintain a positive attitude and high energy—even when things get busy.
  • You’re a strong communicator and confident presenter, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across global teams.
