The Merchandising Manager EU leads the assortment strategy, planning and execution with focus on analytics and customer interface. Tasks include designing and executing a customer-centric, cost-efficient assortment strategy that maximizes ingredient usage, reduces waste, and drives both profitability and customer satisfaction across all brands.

Responsibilities
  • Menu Strategy & Planning: Lead end-to-end menu planning and execution across all brands, ensuring alignment with financial, operational, and brand goals.
  • Manage and optimize the EU Master Calendar and Annual SKU Planning Calendar to support usage, minimize waste, and meet MOQ requirements.
  • Oversee menu QA, ensuring accuracy, budget alignment, and customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Culinary, Marketing, Fulfillment, Data Science, and Technology teams to align on strategy, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance menu planning frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for merchandising strategy implementation and backlog prioritization.
  • Pantry & Ingredient Oversight: Manage pantry cost efficiency by reviewing SKU viability, aligning depletion plans, and approving ingredient costing.
  • Identify and onboard cost-effective, high-quality ingredients as needed.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics, adjusting strategy in collaboration with leadership as needed.
  • Lead a team focused on driving measurable commercial and customer outcomes through strategic menu management.
  • System Administration: Maintain menu accuracy post-launch through our internal menu management tool, managing substitutions and recipe updates, and overseeing system constraints for optimal recommendations.

  • Comfortable in Asana, Google Sheets and CMS system
  • Highly organized, with great attention to detail
  • Highly analytical thinking; data-driven decision making, and ability to negotiate strict financial targets
  • Mindset towards continuous improvement, of performance, process, and people.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to think critically, analytically, and creatively
  • Adaptive to changing priorities in a fast paced high-growth business environment
  • Verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely both in person and via slack
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Capable of identifying and accessing appropriate data to assess business performance and needs and able to analyze that data to make strategic decisions independently.

  • Demonstrated strategic ability to anticipate and articulate business needs and respond with appropriate strategies
  • Culinary or food background with a deep understanding of ingredients, techniques, and trends. Must be equally comfortable talking with chefs & developers as with supply chain analysts.
