CTS Group is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead the on-site delivery of a major Data Centre project in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven track record in MEP management on large projects; English fluency is mandatory and on-site availability is required.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Solid experience in MEP management or coordination on construction/engineering projects.
• Experience leading teams and specialist subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing/building services systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project docs.
• Experience with commissioning and handover processes is highly valued.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English is mandatory.
• Availability to work on-site in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate MEP activities across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

Ready to lead the MEP delivery of a major Data Centre project?

At CTS Group, we’re looking for an experienced MEP Manager to join our team in Viana do Castelo and take a leading role in the coordination and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services across a major project.

This is a role for an engineering professional who combines strong technical expertise with leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills — someone who can bring different disciplines, teams and stakeholders together to keep complex MEP works moving safely, efficiently and according to plan.

From design through to commissioning and handover, you’ll play a central role in ensuring MEP systems are delivered to the required quality, schedule, budget and project standards.

What will you be doing?

• Leading and coordinating MEP activities across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover
• Managing and supporting MEP engineers, supervisors, technicians and specialist subcontractors
• Coordinating interfaces between MEP disciplines and civil, structural and architectural works
• Reviewing MEP designs, technical drawings, specifications, submittals and method statements
• Ensuring MEP solutions comply with project specifications, contractual requirements, standards and regulations
• Overseeing technical reviews, quality inspections and progress monitoring
• Identifying, analysing and resolving technical, design and construction challenges
• Maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors
• Supporting project planning, forecasting, progress tracking and milestone achievement
• Monitoring MEP construction progress and ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule
• Coordinating testing, commissioning, system integration and handover
• Ensuring the completion of as-built drawings, technical dossiers and handover documentation
• Promoting high standards of safety, quality and efficiency across all MEP activities.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Solid professional experience in MEP management or coordination within construction or engineering projects
• Previous experience managing teams and specialist subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing / building services systems
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation
• Experience with commissioning and handover processes is highly valued
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Advanced English — mandatory
• Availability to work on-site in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
