Turner & Townsend in Portugal is seeking an experienced Mechanical QA/QC Manager to join our Data Centre team. You will ensure mechanical and civil construction works meet project specifications, plans and codes, reporting to quality and project managers.

The role offers the opportunity to lead inspections, witness testing, and implement corrective actions on high-profile data centre projects, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration across the project team.

Qualificações

• Degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience supervising on large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driven and proactive with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Identify and resolve quality issues.
• Supervise inspections and witness testing to verify standards.
• Validate and maintain quality control on the project platform.
• Develop and implement corrective actions with the project team.
• Communicate quality and site issues to managers.
• Assist in verification of progress claimed by contractors.
• Maintain daily site diary for progress.
• Represent the OR in trade-to-trade handovers.
• Participate in client safety observation system.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and civil construction activities are performed in accordance with the project specifications, plans, and codes, reporting to the quality and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, orequivalent.
• Experience in a supervising capacity on large scale construction projects
• Strong organizational and management skills – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other construction project management tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and great communication.
• Proactive and focused on continuous improvement, including providing well-thought out solutions.
