As Senior Project Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful execution of a large-scale project within the Sines campus, overseeing the full project lifecycle from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and final handover.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work in a highly collaborative and international environment, engaging with multidisciplinary teams, leading complex stakeholder relationships and contributing to the delivery of infrastructure that supports the future of digital connectivity. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, strategic decision-making and some of the most advanced construction and engineering challenges in the market.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, governance and successful delivery of a data centre project within the Sines campus. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the project, ensuring achievement of safety, quality, budget and schedule objectives.


• Oversee project execution across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases.


• Establish and manage project governance processes, including steering committees, senior stakeholder forums and executive reporting.


• Drive project controls, risk management and change management activities to ensure effective project performance.


• Manage critical issues, escalations, approvals and decision-making processes throughout the project lifecycle.


• Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams and ensure alignment between all project functions.


• Act as the primary interface between the client, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities.


• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all parties.


• Monitor project progress and implement mitigation plans to address potential risks and delivery challenges.


• Support operational readiness activities and ensure a successful transition from project completion to business operations.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Proven experience leading large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, preferably within data centres, mission-critical facilities or complex industrial environments.


• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, project controls, risk management and governance frameworks.


• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence decision-making at senior levels.


• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction and commercial functions.


• Strong commercial awareness and budget management capabilities.


• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.


• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and highly complex project environments.


• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.


• Professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) would be advantageous.
