Carrier is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with diesel-engine expertise to join the Addvolt Systems & Application team in Matosinhos, Porto. You will support development, integration and validation of diesel engines and hybrid architectures for transport refrigeration applications.
The role requires strong knowledge of internal-combustion engines, 3–5+ years of Diesel/Powertrain experience, and collaboration across systems, electrical, controls, testing and suppliers.

Addvolt is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer - Diesel Engines to join our Systems & Application team. The ideal candidate will support the mechanical development, integration and validation of diesel-engine power sources and hybrid architectures for transport refrigeration applications.
The role will contribute to a hybrid and diesel concept and build on learning from a proof of concept. It combines diesel-engine integration, mechanical design, performance assessment and validation, with close collaboration across system architecture, controls, electrical integration, testing, suppliers and Carrier engineering teams.
We are looking for a practical and analytical engineer who understands internal-combustion-engine systems and wants to apply that knowledge to efficient hybrid operating concepts and the transition towards lower-emission transport refrigeration.
