Job summary

CTS Group in Portugal is seeking a Measurement / Technical Preparation Engineer to support technical preparation and execution of projects. The role focuses on quantity surveying, measurements, project documentation and coordination between design, production and contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will ensure quantities and documentation stay aligned through execution and collaborate with Site Management, Production, Estimating, Planning and Procurement teams on-site in Viana do

Qualifications

Degree or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience as Measurement Engineer / Quantity Surveyor / Technical Office Engineer or similar.
Experience in construction or engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of construction measurements and quantity take-offs.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contractual documentation.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel.
Experience with variations or claims is valued.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Advanced English – mandatory.
Availability to work on-site in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

Responsibilities

Analyse technical projects, drawings, specifications and contractual documentation.
Identify inconsistencies, omissions, discrepancies or technical conflicts and propose appropriate solutions.
Prepare and update technical drawings to support construction activities.
Carry out construction measurements and quantity take-offs.
Ensure consistency between design quantities, contractual quantities and executed works.
Prepare measurement sheets, interim payment applications, quantity lists and other technical documentation required for the project.
Support budgeting and construction cost control activities.
Monitor the progress of works and validate executed quantities.
Provide technical and quantitative information to support production and project planning.
Update drawings and technical documentation following design or construction changes.
Collaborate closely with Site Management, Production, Estimating, Planning, Procurement and Supervision teams.
Support subcontractor measurement and contractual control processes.
Assist with variations, claims and change control processes where applicable.
Ensure the proper organisation, updating and digital archiving of all technical documentation.
