Job summary

Fischer Connectors, part of Conextivity Group, is opening a new plant in Amarante near Porto, Portugal. We seek a Master Planner to design and optimize end-to-end supply chain for the cable assembly area, coordinating with global sites and suppliers to meet demand and drive efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in a similar, international environment, strong ERP and MS Office skills, and fluent English; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Logistics/supply chain engineer or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar international environment.
• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan production sites, subcontractors and suppliers based on customer demand, available capacity, inventory targets and the overall production strategy.
• Optimize operations, costs, quality and customer service by leading or actively participating in improvement projects.
• Actively participate in cross-functional projects to improve purchasing planning, production planning, capacity management, inventory management.
• Collaborate with Production, NPI, Quality, R&D, Finance and Sales to support launches or transfers of products.
• Improve product flows, logistics and distribution costs from suppliers, subcontractors and production sites to customers.
• Support continuous improvement of product quality by implementing effective work processes with production sites and quality teams.
• Optimize the utilization of the ERP system (SAP) with production sites, planning, master data and IT.
• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans.
• Implement and analyze KPIs to better understand and monitor the supply chain.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Plan production sites, subcontractors and suppliers based on customer demand, available capacity, inventory targets and the overall production strategy of Fischer Connectors
• Optimize operations, costs, quality and customer service by leading or actively participating to improvement projects

Actively participate to cross-functional projects in order to improve purchasing planning, production planning, capacity management, inventory management

• Work in close collaboration with Production (mainly CA sites such as DE, TU, MY, IN), New Product Introduction, Quality, R&D, Finance and Sales teams to support the launch of new products or transfer products from sites to sites
• Improve product flows, logistics and distribution costs from suppliers, subcontractors and production sites to customers
• Support the continuous improvement of the product quality by implementing effective work processes with production sites and quality teams

Optimize the utilization of the ERP system (SAP) with production sites, planning, master data and IT

• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans
• Implement and analyze KPI’s to better understand and monitor the supply chain

Professional Skills

The Experience and Skills You Will Bring

• Logistics/supply chain engineer or equivalent
• Min 5 years in a similar environment in an international company
• Excellent knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, JD Edwards). SAP is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Fluent in English, French is a plus
