Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Mason specializing in stone and brickwork.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Skilled at working with various types of stone and brick materials.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine the layout of various structures.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, chalk lines, or marking gauges.
• Cut or break bricks, stones, or blocks to size using hand or power tools.
• Lay out patterns or foundations according to plans using measuring tools.
• Align structures vertically and horizontally using plumb bobs, levels and other tools.
• Spread mortar onto surfaces using trowels or other tools.
• Fill gaps between bricks or stones with mortar and remove excess mortar with trowels or scrapers.
• Clean finished surfaces using water hoses, brushes, or acid solutions.
