Job summary

ConFlip in Funchal, Portugal is seeking a Part-Time Mason to build, repair and maintain structures using brick, concrete and stone. You will lay bricks, read blueprints and work with a small team.

The role offers a part-time schedule with flexible hours and accommodation provided. Candidates should have prior masonry experience, read blueprints, and be able to work outdoors. Portuguese work permit or biometric passport is required.

Qualifications

• Prior Masonry experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or building plans.
• Knowledge of construction materials and their properties.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Biometric passport for legal employment in Portugal.
• Portuguese nationality or valid working permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay bricks or other materials to construct or repair walls, arches, fireplaces, chimneys or other structures.
• Use hand tools or machinery to cut and shape materials.
• Mix cement and other construction materials.
• Follow blueprints or building plans to ensure accuracy.
• Repair cracks or damage on existing structures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other construction workers on projects.
