Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager to lead SAP Finance transformation projects across S/4HANA implementations in Portugal. You will manage client relationships, mentor teams, and contribute to EY's SAP practice growth.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver innovative finance solutions and drive business transformation initiatives. You will oversee governance, risk management, and quality assurance, while coaching junior staff and supporting business development efforts.

Job description

Use your extensive SAP Finance and business process expertise to help clients transform and enhance their finance functions and internal control environments. As a Manager, you will lead SAP Finance transformation projects, manage client relationships, mentor team members, and contribute to the growth of EY's SAP practice. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions across SAP S/4 HANA Finance implementations and business transformation initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead SAP S/4 HANA Finance projects and workstreams from strategy and design through implementation and deployment
• Manage project teams and supervise the delivery of high-quality client solutions within budget and timelines
• Drive finance transformation initiatives and advise clients on best practices in SAP Finance and digital transformation
• Facilitate executive-level workshops and engage with senior business and IT stakeholders
• Oversee business process design, configuration reviews, solution validation, testing and deployment activities
• Ensure project governance, risk management and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their professional growth
• Support proposal development, business development activities and account expansion opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Contribute to EY methodologies, thought leadership and practice development initiatives

To qualify for the role

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
• At least 7-10 years of professional experience, including significant experience in SAP Finance consulting and transformation projects
• Proven track record leading SAP S/4 HANA Finance implementations and transformation programmes
• Strong knowledge of SAPFI, New General Ledger, SAP S/4 HANA Finance and related finance solutions
• Experience managing project teams and client stakeholders
• Demonstrated project management experience across complex, multi-stream initiatives
• Strong understanding offinance processes, controls and digital finance transformation
• Experience in business process redesign and SAP solution architecture discussions
• Knowledge of Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies
• Experience supporting sales pursuits, proposals and business development activities
• Full English proficiency

Ideally, you'll also have

• Experience leading large-scale SAP S/4 HANA transformation programmes
• Knowledge of Treasury &Risk Management, Group Reporting, Central Finance or other SAP Finance solutions
• SAP certifications in Finance-related modules
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud and reporting solutions
• Experience with SAP migrations, upgrades and cloud transformation programmes
• Professional accountingqualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, OCC or equivalent)
• Experience managing international delivery teams and multi-country projects
