BOSCH in Portugal is seeking an experienced MLOps professional to shape and implement the next generation of cloud-based ML platforms. You will work with ML engineers, data scientists, software and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable MLOps solutions across the lifecycle.

This role focuses on strategy, architecture, IaC with Terraform, and self-service tooling, ensuring reproducibility and robust monitoring.

Qualificações

• MSc or PhD in Software Engineering, CS, DS, ML, or related field.
• 3+ years in MLOps, Data Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of ML development lifecycle and model life cycle.
• Experience designing, implementing CI/CD pipelines for ML/AI.

Job Description

MLOps Strategy & Architecture

• Collaborate on the MLOps strategy for our cloud environment, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and best practices.
• Collaborate on the technical design of a MLOps platform that provides a self-service approach to the MLOps loop problems, such as data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, model validation, model deployment, model monitoring.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for MLOps processes and infrastructure.

Hybrid ML-loop Implementation

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for provisioning and managing cloud resources using Terraform.
• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data, ML models, and other artefacts.
• Implement new functionalities while ensuring key non-functional properties of the model development toolchain, particularly reproducibility.
• Implement monitoring dashboards and alerts to proactively identify and resolve MLOps platform issues.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with ML engineers, data scientists, software engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver a high-quality MLOps solution.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up to date with the latest MLOps trends and technologies and adopt new approaches.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices

Qualifications

Education

MSc or Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in MLOps, Data Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of the ML development process and model life cycle.
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience designing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining MLOps solutions or CI/CD pipelines.
• Good scripting and automation skills with Python and Bash.
• Experience with Azure services, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Good understanding of Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of Ansible.
• Experience with GNU/Linux systems as key development environment.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, team player, and capable of collaborating across functional areas.
• Proactive, customer and result-oriented personality.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
