Capgemini Engineering is seeking a key technical owner of a Red Hat OpenShift platform in a hybrid enterprise environment, ensuring its availability, security, scalability and continuous evolution in containerised workloads.

You will configure clusters, monitor health with Prometheus and Grafana, support DevOps adoption with CI/CD and GitOps, and collaborate with Development, Systems and Infrastructure teams to implement best practices across the platform for engineering teams.

Qualificações

• At least 3 years of Linux system administration with hands-on OpenShift.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and production Redis/RabbitMQ.
• Observability tooling with Prometheus and Grafana for dashboards and alerts.
• Scripting in Python; Bash and YAML experience valued.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps and IaC practices.
• Knowledge of Trilio backup/recovery is a differentiator.

YOUR ROLE

In this role you will be the key technical owner of a Red Hat OpenShift platform, ensuring its availability, security, scalability and continuous evolution in a hybrid enterprise environment.

• Administering, configuring and evolving Red Hat OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability, performance and security across containerised environments
• Managing compute, network and storage resources within the platform, implementing updates, patches and security hardening measures
• Proactively monitoring platform health using Prometheus and Grafana, identifying issues before they impact services and driving continuous optimisation
• Supporting development teams in the adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, acting as a platform enabler for engineering teams
• Resolving incidents, troubleshooting complex platform issues and automating operational processes using Python, Bash scripting and YAML
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Development, Systems and Infrastructure to ensure best practices in platform operations and security

YOUR PROFILE

• At least 3 years of experience in Linux system administration, with strong hands‑on expertise in Red OpenShift — this is the core requirement for this role
• Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration principles, and experience managing services such as Redis and RabbitMQ in production environments
• Proven experience with observability tooling, particularly Prometheus and Grafana, with the ability to design and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerting systems
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, with additional knowledge of Bash and YAML being highly valued
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows and Infrastructure as Code practices, with a proactive and problem‑solving mindset
• Knowledge of Trilio (backup and recovery for OpenShift) is a strong differentiating factor
