We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lighting Design Assistant to join our growing Lighting Design team in Lisbon. Working within a dynamic multidisciplinary architecture and design consultancy, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality lighting design projects across hospitality, residential, mixed-use, retail, and commercial sectors.

The successful candidate will support the lighting designers in the development, coordination, and production of project documentation throughout all design stages, from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement lighting layouts and design mark-ups within Revit and AutoCAD.
- Produce and maintain accurate lighting design drawings and documentation.
- Develop integration and coordination detail drawings alongside architectural, interior design, and engineering teams.
- Assist in the preparation of lighting specifications, luminaire schedules, and technical documentation.
- Support the production of lighting control schedules and control philosophy documents.
- Prepare design reports and presentation materials across all project stages, including:
- Concept Design Reports
- Schematic Design Reports
- Detailed Design Reports
- Construction Information Packages
- Assist with image editing, presentation graphics, and report formatting using Photoshop and other software tools.
- Coordinate information across project teams using document-sharing and collaboration platforms.
- Maintain project files and ensure documentation is organised, accurate, and up to date.
- Support the lighting team in delivering projects to programme and quality standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows, documentation standards, and production quality.
Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience producing technical drawings and design documentation.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret mark-ups and implement changes accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with DIALux or other lighting calculation software.
- Previous experience within lighting design, architecture, interior design, or MEP consultancy.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and project coordination processes.
- Understanding of lighting control systems and lighting specifications.
