Job summary

TeamViewer is seeking a Software Engineer Lead for TeamViewer Frontline in Porto. You will lead the technical delivery of customer-facing projects, translating priorities into scalable solutions, coaching engineers, guiding architecture, and strengthening engineering practices.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with Java, Spring, React, SQL, Git, and JSON, plus professional English and German and roughly eight+ years in software engineering.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience with Java, Spring, React, SQL, Git, and JSON.
• Strong collaboration and leadership abilities in cross-functional teams.
• Experience translating customer priorities into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor engineers through regular one-to-ones, code reviews, design discussions, and career development.
• Improve the team's development practices, tooling, and workflows.
• Work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to understand priorities, clarify requirements, and shape practical technical solutions.
• Lead technical estimation, solution design, and implementation for customer-facing projects.
• Coordinate with partner teams to keep customer projects moving and take ownership of outcomes, including technical quality, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Escalate and resolve customer-facing issues through troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Lead system design and architecture, including design reviews, technical decisions, and long-term planning.
