Job summary

TeamViewer is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to drive the technical delivery of customer-facing projects on the Frontline platform. You will coach engineers, guide architecture decisions, and collaborate with customers and delivery teams to translate priorities into practical solutions.

With hands-on work across Java, Spring, React and cloud platforms, you’ll shape design decisions, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality delivery while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Java, Spring, React, SQL, Git and JSON.
• Professional proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
• Ideally eight or more years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor engineers through regular one-to-ones, code reviews, design discussions, and career development.
• Improve the team's development practices, tooling, and workflows.
• Work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to understand priorities, clarify requirements, and shape practical technical solutions.
• Lead technical estimation, solution design, and implementation for customer-facing projects.
• Coordinate with partner teams to keep customer projects moving and take ownership of outcomes, including technical quality, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Escalate and resolve customer-facing issues through troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Lead system design and architecture, including design reviews, technical decisions, and long-term planning.
• Build a strong understanding of TeamViewer Frontline capabilities and customer workflows, and share relevant feedback with internal teams.
• Provide occasional, as-needed on-call coverage for L3 support; there is no fixed rotation.
• Travel occasionally, approximately two to three times per year and for up to one week per trip.
