IP Parking, Porto, Portugal, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to take technical ownership of our Mobile Parking Application team in Porto. This hands-on leadership role spends at least half time writing and reviewing production code, while the rest focuses on architecture, roadmap, and team development.

You will mentor junior engineers, work with large, live databases, and coordinate with Product Owners and Head of R&D.

Qualificações

• 5-10+ years of professional software development experience, including mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
• Strong backend background with C#/.NET and databases.
• Experience leading a development team or acting as technical anchor on a product team.
• Comfortable working with and improving mature, live production systems.
• Based in Porto or within 15km, we’re looking for a local hire.
• Excellent written and spoken Portuguese and English.

Responsabilidades

• Writes, reviews and ships production code daily on a mature, live codebase.
• Defines architecture and owns the technical roadmap, including technical debt and risk.
• Works with large, operational databases, query optimization, migrations and performance at scale.

The role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to take technical ownership of our Mobile Parking Application team in Porto. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll spend at least half of your time writing and reviewing code alongside your team, and the other half leading architecture, roadmap and team development.

You’re pragmatic, product‑minded and committed to building sustainable software on a mature codebase, treating it as a craft, not a constraint.

• Excellent written and spoken Portuguese and English.
