Intellias is seeking a Lead Healthcare Data Engineer to join a large-scale US health data initiative focused on building a FHIR-based platform and transforming fragmented healthcare data into clean, standardized information.

The role blends deep hands-on engineering with broad technical influence, mentoring engineers, and raising the engineering bar across the team. You will drive end-to-end pipelines, data quality, and PHI-safe practices in a fast-moving, health-focused environment.

Competenze

• 8+ years of professional data engineering experience in health tech.
• Lead-level ownership of complex production systems across components and teams.
• Deep experience with Python, Spark, and Databricks/Delta Lake.

Mansioni

• Set the technical direction for healthcare data engineering across ingestion, transformation, validation, normalization and delivery.
• Own end-to-end architecture of large-scale distributed data pipelines transforming heterogeneous data into clean, standards-conformant FHIR.
• Design and evolve scalable solutions using Python, Spark/PySpark, Databricks/Delta Lake, and modern data-processing technologies.
• Diagnose and eliminate performance bottlenecks in distributed data workloads.
• Establish reusable data-quality frameworks and guardrails for PHI-safe engineering.
