Axpo Group is seeking a Lead Data Steward to own governance and stewardship across the organisation during a Databricks on Azure migration. You will define policies, ownership, data quality, and security standards while partnering with Data Architects and Engineers to embed governance in the platform.

Based in Vila Real/Porto, this full-time, in-office role focuses on building scalable governance, documenting data assets, and guiding teams to follow consistent data practices with a strong

Qualificações

• Software Engineering, Data Management, Information Systems or similar.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with experience in data governance.
• Experience with Databricks on Azure and Unity Catalog.
• Knowledge of data cataloguing tools such as Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation or Purview.

Responsabilidades

• Define the data governance framework, including policies and standards.
• Define data security standards and access control policies.
• Define the data stewardship operating model and governance procedures.
• Own data classification and ownership, ensuring defined owners.
• Lead the audit of the governance framework and migration to Databricks on Azure.
• Collaborate with Data Architect and Engineers to reflect governance in platform design.
• Define documentation standards for data assets and contracts.
• Coordinate with business teams to identify data owners and stewardship roles.
