Cross Border Talents is seeking an experienced Compliance Control and Risk Management Team Leader to join an international insurance and financial services environment in Lisbon, Portugal. You will lead a team of five controllers and coordinate compliance-control activities to ensure delivery of operational plans and quality standards.

The role requires at least five years in insurance and compliance control, fluency in French and English at C1, and the ability to travel.

Qualificações

• Five+ years of experience in insurance and compliance control.
• Experience supervising or managing a team.
• French at C1 or native level is required.
• English at C1 or native level is required.
• Experience in compliance control and risk management is mandatory.
• Knowledge of audit, internal control, or risk-based methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the insurance industry.
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work outside Portugal when required.
• EU citizenship or valid Portuguese work permit is required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, support, and develop a team of five controllers.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of control activities.
• Manage daily team operations, HR follow-ups and costs.
• Prepare an annual control plan with risk stakeholders.
• Organise workload and business travel per plan.
• Monitor performance indicators and identify improvements.
• Organise regular operational meetings with stakeholders.
• Support quarterly risk reporting and annual control assessments.
• Manage procedures and add compliance-control tasks.
• Perform control activities when needed.
• Report to Head of Compliance Control and Risk Management.
