NH Lagos Algarve Resort is seeking a Laundry Worker to manage dry cleaning and laundry shop areas, ensuring high service standards in the absence of the Laundry Manager. The role requires neat appearance, ability to iron, and strong knowledge of hotel facilities and service flow.

The ideal candidate has a vocational diploma, English proficiency, and leadership potential, with at least 1 year in a supervisory laundry role or a fast track through training.

Qualifikationen

• Vocational diploma in any field.
• At least 1 year as Laundry Supervisor or fast track from Laundry through cross-training of at least 3 months.
• Proficiency in English both oral and written.
• Capable of supervising and strong leadership skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Arrive at work on time in the uniform provided and maintain a neat appearance.
• Be able to iron and handle ironing tasks.
• Have a complete knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, features and facilities, F&B outlets, spa and health club.
• Prepare and complete all reports on time.
• Follow correct chemical handling procedures.
• Follow fabric care procedures per LSOP.
• Ensure LSOPs are available and current for all associates to reference.
• Avoid overtime through effective supervision and prompt problem-solving.
• Ensure staff are clean, neat, and wear the correct uniform.
• Respond promptly to guest issues and correspondence.
• Report non-inventory items found in laundry to Lost & Found store-room in housekeeping.
• Maintain regular quality control of department standards.
• Inspect machinery for wear and tear and log maintenance requests via the engineering department.
• Foster a motivational working environment and positive cross-department relations.
• Minimise chemical wastage.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
• Perform duties as directed by Hotel Management.

What will be your mission?

As Laundry (M/F), you will be in charge of Dry Cleaning, Laundry Shop areas. You will be required to maintain the same high degree of service and efficiency in the absence of the Laundry Manager.

What will you do?

• Arrive at work on time in the uniform provided, ensuring a neat and tidy appearance, according to the associate handbook.
• To be able to iron
• Have a complete knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, relative features and facilities, food and beverage outlets, spa and health club.
• Ensure that all reports are prepared and completely on time.
• Ensure that correct chemical handling procedures are practiced.
• Ensure correct fabric care procedures are followed per LSOP.
• Ensure that LSOPs are available, current and in effect and available for all associates to use as reference.
• Avoid overtime through good supervision and immediate response to problems.
• Ensure that all employees are clean, neat and wearing the correct uniform.
• Ensure immediate response to any guest problems and correspondence.
• Ensure that any non-inventory item’s found in laundry are taken immediately to Lost & Found Store-room in housekeeping.
• Maintain a regular quality control inspection of department standards.
• Regularly inspection machinery fir signs of wear & tear, deterioration of hoses, belts, covers etc. Any defect of maintenance request should be legged via data base for action by the Engineering Department.
• Develop and maintain a motivational working environment within the department and positive relations with other departments.
• Ensure chemical wastage is kept to a minimum.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Conduct duties of tasks as directed by Hotel Management.
