Your Role

As a Junior Fullstack Developer for HubSpot CMS based in Lisbon, you join Thorit's growing Lisbon engineering hub and become a reliable delivery partner for our enterprise client work. You ship custom modules, HubL templates, small serverless functions, and QA fixes against real client projects. In your first 3 months, you reach full ticket independence. Within 12 months, you deliver 40 or more merged tickets at a bug‑reopen rate below 5%.

We are hiring this role because HubSpot CMS work is now a steady‑state component of our enterprise engagements, and day‑to‑day ticket delivery is bottlenecking our senior engineers and Managed Services team. You add focused delivery capacity at the right cost point, close weekday coverage for client‑facing work, and help form the foundation of the Lisbon engineering hub that will scale over the next two years. You report to Director Engineering & Technology Michael Huber and pair closely with our Senior Fullstack Developer on the ground. Daily working language is English.

Your Responsibilities

• Ticket Independence. You onboard into Thorit's HubSpot CMS workflow within 3 months, take Jira tickets, and deliver reviewed PRs independently from there on.

• First Ship. You ship at least one custom module or feature to a live client HubSpot environment (reviewed, tested, deployed) within your first 3 months.

• Delivery Volume. You deliver 40 or more merged tickets across custom modules, HubL templates, and small serverless functions on live client projects across your first 12 months.

• Quality Bar. You keep your bug‑reopen rate below 5% on your own deliverables, tracked in Jira.

• Module Library Contribution. You contribute at least 3 reusable components to Thorit's internal HubSpot CMS module library.

• Code Review Participation. You pair reliably with senior engineers and participate in code reviews at a level that measurably improves your own output month over month.

• Client‑Facing Communication. You handle first‑line async communication with Managed Services PMs in English without requiring escalation.

Your Profile

• Demonstrable HubSpot CMS or HubL knowledge from training projects, bootcamps, or a junior role. You have built at least one HubSpot CMS theme or custom module, even if small. No HubSpot CMS exposure at all is a hard filter at this level.

• JavaScript fundamentals: clean, working JavaScript with ES6+, async/await, DOM manipulation. You can read and modify existing React components.

• Solid HTML and CSS: semantic HTML, responsive layouts, Flexbox and Grid, CSS specificity, cross-browser behaviour. Required daily for CMS work.

• Version control in a team context: branching, PRs, resolving merge conflicts. You have been part of a peer code review process, even in a bootcamp.

• Attention to detail: you understand that pixel‑level fidelity and small bugs matter, and you catch your own mistakes before pushing.

• Learning velocity: track record of picking up new tech quickly from docs, tutorials, and paired work. You can point to something you learned in the last 6 months on your own initiative.

• Functional business English: you write clear async updates (Jira, Confluence, email) and hold a working‑level conversation in code reviews. Native speaker not required, but fluency is a hard requirement.

• Based in the Lisbon area and willing to commit to 2 in‑office days per week.
