Wilco in Lisbon is hiring a Junior AI Engineer to build AI agents and Python integrations across APIs, booking systems and CRMs. You’ll take customer workflows from discovery to production with the team’s support.

The role demands strong Python, Git and API fundamentals, the ability to work with customers in English, and a high standard for code quality. You’ll own features end-to-end and test outcomes with users.

1. Get the patient to open the door of the clinic.

2. Get the treatment plan signed.

We’re hiring a Junior AI Engineer with technical depth and extreme agency. The bar: understand the problem, ship the solution, prove it works.

Tasks

• Build AI agents and Python integrations across APIs, booking systems and CRMs.


• Take customer workflows from discovery to production with the team’s support and review.


• Test failure cases, debug issues and verify the outcome with users.


• Turn each deployment into reusable platform capabilities.


• Use coding agents daily. Understand and test the code you ship.

Requirements

• Technical proficiency: strong Python, Git and API fundamentals. You can debug your code and explain your decisions.


• Extreme agency: spot what needs doing, find the missing information and drive it to completion. Show us something you made happen without being asked.


• Applied AI: you’ve built with LLMs or agents and know how to test their limits.


• High standards: move fast, seek tough feedback and take responsibility for the result.


• Professional English and comfort working directly with customers.

Recent graduates and self-taught engineers welcome. Shipped projects, open-source work and useful tools count.

Useful extras: TypeScript/React, SQL, cloud, voice AI, Spanish or Portuguese.

Lisbon-based or willing to relocate.

Benefits

• €30,000–€40,000 gross annual base salary, depending on experience.
