Nokia is seeking a Software Engineer to enhance our Network Management Systems for Optical/Transport Networks. You will develop and integrate Micro Service components and participate in all stages of the software lifecycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Angular, and open-source technologies while contributing to high-quality software and continuous improvement. Join Nokia to shape the future of network management.

Qualificações

• MSc/BS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented concepts, data structures, and multi-threading
• Proficiency in database concepts
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Responsabilidades

• Develop and enhance Micro Service components for Network Management Systems in Optical/Transport Networks.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate and integrate open-source software to maintain product functionality and improve system architecture.
• Drive continuous improvement in software quality, architecture, and development methodologies.
• Contribute to team decisions, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and innovation.
• Monitor and address technical debt while balancing cost/benefit in enhancements and features.
• Mentor junior engineers, guiding them in best practices and fostering their professional growth.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

Key Skills And Experience

• MSc / BS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented concepts, data structures, and multi-threading
• Proficiency in database concepts
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience with Java, J2EE, EJB 3.1, Hibernate, JPA, GWT
• Familiarity with application servers, especially WildFly
• Knowledge of Angular programming
• Experience with network technologies (e.g., Ethernet, IP, DWDM) and REST/Event Driven Architecture (e.g. Kafka, NATs)
