Decskill is growing and seeks a Java Spring Software Developer to join our Lisbon team. You will design and scale backend architectures using Java 21 and Spring, contribute to CI/CD practices, and collaborate with stakeholders on complex backend services.

• 3–5 years of IT experience.
• Strong experience with Java 21 and advanced proficiency in Spring Framework.
• Advanced SQL skills, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Cloud environments (AWS or IBM) and Docker/containerisation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, microservices, unit testing and version control.
• Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence and ALM.

We are looking for an Java Spring Software Developer!

Responsabilities:

• Design, secure and scale backend architectures.
• Develop and maintain backend solutions using the Spring framework.
• Industrialise solutions following CI/CD and software engineering best practices.
• Participate in the validation phase with end users.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and secure backend services.
• Support Agile delivery and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of IT experience.
• Strong experience with Java 21 — mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in Spring Framework.
• Advanced SQL, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including:
• CI/CD;
• Microservices;
• Unit Testing;
• Version Control.
• Experience with Cloud environments, such as AWS or IBM.
• Experience with Docker and containerisation.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and ALM.
• Ability to work across multiple areas, combining technical and business analysis responsibilities.
