Antaes Consulting is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join our remote team and contribute to OMS/Fuent Commerce backend developments. You will design Java microservices, develop REST APIs, and integrate with OMS and retail platforms in an international Agile setting.

You will work with Java 21, Spring, microservices, cloud-native stacks (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD, while ensuring security and performance.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Software Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Java 21 and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with microservices‑based, event‑driven architectures.
• Experience integrating with OMS; Fluent Commerce knowledge is valued.
• Good understanding of e‑commerce and omni‑retail environments.
• Strong REST/API tooling, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON/XML, HTTP, and GraphQL knowledge.
• Experience with MySQL and MongoDB is desirable.
• Cloud-native and containerised environments (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm).
• CI/CD experience, preferably GitLab; familiarity with Maven, SonarQube, Snyk, Datadog.
• Security standards: OAuth2, OIDC, Keycloak/Okta; code quality and performance focus.
• Fluent English required; French or another language is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Designing and developing REST APIs following API‑first principles.
• Ensuring high levels of code quality, maintainability, performance and reliability.
• Troubleshooting software defects, integration issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Supporting investigation and resolution of production incidents.
• Collaborating with Architecture, DevOps, QA and Product teams.
• Contributing to CI/CD improvements, automation and deployment processes.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and continuous solution improvement.

Context

As part of the development and continuous improvement of digital e-commerce and omnichannel platforms, our client is looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer.

You will contribute to backend solutions supporting order management, fulfilment and retail operations, working in an international and Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Analysing business and technical requirements and translating them into robust and scalable backend solutions.
• Designing, developing, testing and maintaining Java-based microservices.
• Developing and maintaining integrations with Order Management Systems (OMS) and retail platforms.
• Supporting key flows including order orchestration, inventory visibility, fulfilment, returns and payments.
• Designing and developing REST APIs following API-first principles.
• Ensuring high levels of code quality, maintainability, performance and reliability.
• Troubleshooting software defects, integration issues and performance bottlenecks.

Your Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Software Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Java 21 and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience developing microservices‑based, event‑driven and API‑first architectures.
• Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS); knowledge of Fluent Commerce is highly valued.
• Good understanding of e‑commerce and omni‑retail environments, including the order lifecycle.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, XML and HTTP; knowledge of GraphQL.
• Experience with MySQL and MongoDB.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native and containerised environments, including AWS, Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.
• Experience with messaging systems and event‑driven integration patterns such as AWS SQS, Solace or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of security standards and solutions including OAuth2, OIDC, Keycloak and/or Okta.
• Experience with CI/CD environments, particularly GitLab.
• Familiarity with tools such as Maven, SonarQube, Snyk, Datadog, Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently in an international and cross‑functional Agile environment.
• Fluent English is required.
• French or another language would be considered an advantage.
