Qualificações

• Strong OO design and coding skills.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with Git and modern workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our engineering team in Porto. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Java applications and services, working closely with other developers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications and backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Work with the wider engineering team to design and implement new features.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Contribute to improving development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other technical teams.
• Keep up to date with modern Java technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with automated testing and development best practices.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
