Parallel Consulting is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join an international project team. This is a remote position based in Portugal, with travel to Brussels for a one‑week kickoff.

You will design, develop, and maintain Java applications, collaborate with Europe-wide teams, and contribute to architecture discussions in an agile environment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Java experience, strong Spring and Microservices skills, and fluency in English.

Qualificações

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise with Java SE 8+ and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices, and SOAP services.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
• Familiarity with tools like Maven, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Must be currently based in Portugal.
• Must be willing to travel to Brussels for one week at project kickoff.
