The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of Java experience, with Spring, Hibernate and Struts, plus REST/SOAP web services.

As a JAVA Developer you will be responsible for designing coding and testing complex software applications using JAVA programming language. You will work closely with the development team to understand business requirements and create efficient solutions. Your role will also involve debugging and troubleshooting issues in existing applications. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and experience with popular JAVA frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate and Struts. This position is located in Funchal, Portugal and offers a salary of $1400 per month without accommodation.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a JAVA Developer

• Knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST) and related technologies (XML, JSON)
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large‑scale projects
• Knowledge of front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with database management systems (MySQL, Oracle)
