Quanteam, founding entity of Rainbow Partners, is a consulting firm specialized in Banking and Financial Services. Porto-based hybrid role seeking a Java Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain backend systems.

Requirements include 3–6 years in Java 8+, Linux, JUnit, Maven, Git, Hadoop Spark/Hive, and strong Portuguese/English (B2). Nice-to-have Spring Boot, React, and CI/CD experience.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, IT or related field.
• 3–6 years of backend Java experience.
• Experience in Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of JUnit, Maven and Git.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (Spark and Hive).
• Good understanding of relational databases.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good Portuguese and English communication (B2+).

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 8+.

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer

Main Tasks

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 8+.
• Design, implement and optimize scalable and reliable solutions.
• Work with Hadoop technologies, including Spark and Hive, for data processing.

Main Skills & Requirements

• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of JUnit, Maven and Git.
• Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Spark and Hive.
• Good understanding of relational databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Good communication skills in both Portuguese and English (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of React.
• DevOps mindset.
• Knowledge of Perl.
• Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
• This role offers a gross annual salary between 24.500€ to 60.500€, defined according to the candidate's experience and competencies.
